I also have studied this area of Eschatology extensively, but I have come to a different conclusion. As far as "lucrative," there are many MANY people out there who offer a different viewpoint than PreTribulationalism, who have and are making money off the books they sell. In fact, where would these people be if they did not have the PreTrib Rapture to criticise and condemn? Beyond that, the PreTrib Rapture is only dangerous if it is not taught in Scripture. Obviously there are numerous schools of thought on the subject, which is why there are PreTribbers, Mid-Tribbers, Pre-Wrathers and Posttribbers. I always love to read how "the Lord taught" someone the truth about the PreTrib Rapture, so they reject the PreTrib Rapture for something else - either the Mid-Trib, PreWrath, or Posttrib position. Isn't it fascinating that nearly EVERYONE says "the Lord taught" them the truth about a particular view of Eschatology? Either the Holy Spirit is extremely difficult to understand, He is telling people what they want to hear, or He is being credited with teachings things He has, nor does teach. In any case, something is wrong somewhere...not to mention the arrogance of making such a statement (about the Holy Spirit teaching someone), implying that anyone who holds a different viewpoint has NOT been taught by the Holy Spirit. So that means that anyone who does NOT hold to a Posttrib view has not been taught by the Holy Spirit according to some on this page. MidTribbers as well as Prewrath people say the same thing. Hmmm, who to believe?

I agree with you on the so called rapture of I Thess.4:14,16. This won't happen until after tribulation. But I see a ressurection in Phil.3:11-14, that will happen before the tribulation. Paul was not sure of having a part of this ressurection, at the time of him writing Philipians. I am sure Paul was sure of receiving this ressurection when he wrote II Timothy . This all has to do with the revelation of the dispensation of the mystery Eph.3:9 Study it out for yourself.

God prepared the ark to carry Noah and his family through the storm. Not to avoid the storm. God will carry us through the tribulation. We must be tried by fire to purge the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ. I do not know your theological views beyond this subject, but I hope that you can see the necessity of repentence and Baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ per the book of Acts verses 2:38,8:16,10:48,9:6. A through study such as you have done on the tribulaion should be done on this important doctrine that Peter, Paul, and Phillip all practiced. In Jesus name we are to do all things! I agree and at the same time disagree about your position of the tribulation. You said that there is no biblical basis to believe the pre-trib. Well Jesus himself mentioned about this in Matthew 24:22, "but for the sake of the elect those days shall be cut short." This passage is about the second coming of Jesus. and one thing more, these three positions are all supported in the Bible. what is important I think, is preparedness to meet the Lord. May be what we focus is the sharing of the gospel so that people will be prepared any time christ will come. God bless May I take this opportunity to share the good news of salvation. Jesus is the only way to heaven.No other way. Religion is not the way, good works is the way, good life is not the way, good reasoning is not the way, and all man's way is not His way of salvation but only faith in Jesus alone. In the book of Revelation chapter 20 we read: And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. So it’s crystal clear that God’s people will indeed be “raptured” after the anti-christ takes his place in history, and what’s more, the “rapture” is in fact the first resurrection. If someone can’t see this for what it actually is, and many don’t, I would suggest that you simply entrust them to God. After all, God is Love and we know that Love never fails. Keep the faith, He truly is Alive!

Brother Young: Your letter was forwarded to me at my new address. It is a good letter. I decided 40 years ago that the pre-trib rapture theory is an illusion that ultradispensationalists try to convince themselves and others, is taught in the Scriptures. The fact is, and they know it, the Bible nowhere says that the church will be raptured before the tribulation (not one verse). They confuse the tribulation and the "wrath" of God. Their attempts to limit the elect in Mt. 24 to the Jewish nation is nonsense. I am sure your book on the subject is a good one, but I have read so many books on the subject over the past 50 years (beginning with Clarence Larkin's "Dispensational Truth" that I am weary of the subject.
